Search: Find the Prospects You Know
When you know what (or who) you’re looking for, use Search.
It’s the first option in BWise’s top navigation menu, and it’s the first screen you see when you log in to the app.
With Search, you have a couple of options. You can search for a company by name, phone number, address, or building. Or you can search for individual contacts by first name, last name, or email.
That’s it! Enter the name of the company or contact your looking for, and BWise will direct you to a profile with valuable information about who they are, what they do, and how to reach them.
Query: Find Your Hidden Prospects
But what about the prospects you don’t know about? How do you find them?
That’s the $64,000 question of new business development. And that’s where Query comes in.
Query allows you to uncover prospects that meet certain criteria—location, building type, industry, employee size, and more. It’s the best way to zero in on all the good local prospects you know are out there, but that you didn’t know how to find... until now.
Query is extremely flexible and powerful, and you can use it in countless ways to uncover good hidden prospects. We’re here to make it as easy as possible.

Find Like: Turn a Search Into a Query
Finally, there’s Find Like.
As we mentioned in our last lesson of BWise Academy, when you click the Find Like button on a company profile, BWise will display a list of similar companies that share the same demographic characteristics. It’s a great way to find prospects that look like your best clients, and who may be more likely to buy from you.
But Find Like is also a great example of how you can use Search and Query together to find your best prospects.
Rather than worrying about which geographic and demographic criteria define your target market, use Search to find a specific company you already sell to or want to target, then click Find Like to perform a Query based on that company’s demographics.
